(Den)mark our words, pedestrians DO NOT have the right of way in Copenhagen

When life gives you lemons, ask a bartender to make you a limoncello spritz! After a shaky start to our arrival to Copenhagen, the Dancing Queens hit the ground running and explored the city’s colorful neighborhoods, beautiful canals, and tasty treats. We were determined to use our one block of free time to see as much as we could, including the famous Little Mermaid statue and the Royal Palace, as we knew our next two days would be jam-packed with business visits.

Cognibotics

Although we were staying in Denmark, our first official day was actually spent back in Sweden; Malmo to be specific. We first visited innovative robotics lab Cognibotics, whose patented technology has increased the precision and efficiency of hundreds of thousands of factory robots worldwide. Our guide, Klas Nilsson, is one of the founders of the company and also operates as a head researcher at Lund University. It takes the right people with the right team mindset in order to bring an idea to fruition, and this team in particular has succeeded at it. With only a handful of employees, it was quite impressive to hear all of the accomplishments of Cognibotics, especially as they compete against much larger firms. We found it especially interesting how many of their robots are created to mirror human workers and the interaction between the 7 joints in our arms. Overall, a very future-looking and innovative company! We can’t wait for their bots to take over the world.

ImmuneBiotech (GutMagnific)

From robotics to probiotics, our next tour was a very short yet impactful one. 20% of all adults suffer from some form of IBS, and many more face some undiagnosed gut health issue. A quick look through the laboratory and offices of ImmuneBiotech, coupled with some heartfelt stories about how this probiotic has saved the lives of consumers, gave us a very positive perspective on how we look at our guts. Unfortunately, no free samples were given but we will be on the lookout for when it hits the states! Dancing Queens promo code coming soon.

Scandinavisk

The bees were buzzing, the birds were chirping, and our smellers were smelling when we went to visit the Scandinavisk offices. A personal favorite, this fragrance brand based out of Copenhagen prides itself on exuding the core elements of Scandinavian culture. By incorporating elements of water, land, plants, and a minimalistic design, Scandinavisk has been creating high-quality products for the body and home since 2012. With the proper developments and environmentally-friendly practices, the company has gained their Certified B Corporation label, something that only about 6,000 companies globally have obtained to date. Free samples in hand, we eagerly listened to co-founder Shaun Russell as he told us about the history and accomplishments of his brand since its establishment. We personally recommend Vintage Love and Island Solitude for any of our followers interested in purchasing here.

Copenhagen was definitely a city to remember. Though there were highs and lows, we will always remember our time spent dodging the Danish bikers. Now, we write this in our hotel room in Gothenburg, Sweden with high hopes for tomorrow, our final day spent on this Scandinavian adventure. Our itinerary is classified until further notice.. so keep an eye out for our next post (TOMORROW🤫) !

Goodnight, Sleep Tight… xoxo, The Dancing Queens
