The Great Team 8!

Hi! I’m Carrie and I’m currently in the last year of my MBA program at Chapman with an emphasis in Global Business! During my undergrad career, I attended Loyola Marymount University and earned my Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and have a certification in Business Analytics from Pepperdine. I currently have six years of experience working in product marketing in the software industry.

This is my 14th international trip and my second study abroad experience. I have been to Scandinavia previously and spent time in Bergen, Stockholm, and Copenhagen. I loved the laidback culture, the food, and of course the shopping. My last visit happened to be during pride month so we ended the trip by attending the festival and parade in Copenhagen. My experience in Sweden was eating at Aifur restaurant in Stockholm. Here I am pictured in Gamla Stan.

This trip, I am excited to learn about the business environment abroad and think it will be a very unique adventure! I am especially excited to visit Spotify, another company in the tech industry, and see the Volvo factory because of my interest in cars. Can’t wait to see what memories this trip holds.

Hej! I’m Jonathan Howell, a 4+1 MBA student. I graduated with my Bachelor’s in Business Administration from Chapman last May with a minor in Advertising. Currently, I’m working as a management consultant in the medical software industry, and intend to continue to pursue this once I receive my Master’s. I’ve never travelled outside of North America before, so I’m super excited for our trip and the opportunity to see so many great companies. Our business visit I’m probably looking most forward to is Saab. Growing up, my dad drove a Saab 900 that’s still vividly imprinted in my memory. It really intrigues me that they have shifted their focus from passenger vehicles to national defense. After our trip I’ll be going down to Amsterdam, Brussels, then Paris, and I can’t wait to add additional countries to my list as well. I’m expecting a culturally immersive experience unlike I’ve experienced before. Cheers and I look forward to seeing you all in Skelleftea! 🙂
