The capital of Sweden, Stockholm was one of the most awaited destinations of the trip! After settling into Radisson Blu Waterfront Hotel, we ventured throughout the city and came across a hidden gem. We were served some kebab pizza along with lamb tenderloin pizza, which both turned out amazing! Even now, we can still taste the amazing food in my mouth when we think about the unforgettable experience.
The next morning, we paid a visit to Imagimob where we learned quite a bit about Imagimob’s merger with Infineon, a company focused on driving digitization and decarbonization. Infineon has
roughly 58,600 employees worldwide with a majority of the employees working in Europe and the Asia Pacific. The company’s revenue is expressed through 4 main segments: automotive, green industrial power, power & sensor systems, and connected secure systems. We were shown several fascinating products such as a watch with sensor capabilities which caught my attention. To the naked eye, the watch looks just like any other ordinary watch. However, the watch has a sensor that can alert emergency personnel if an individual wearing the watch suffers a serious fall. I believe this product would be very useful for some of my family members who are older in age.
Later in the afternoon, we joined Professor Myhr and his friends in his hotel room for a quick afternoon chat before heading to Stureplan, a well known area in Stockholm. After arriving, we enjoyed a Swedish hot dog from a local street vendor which satisfied my temporary food craving. We finished off the night with a mini group venture into Stureplan 1 where we enjoyed several drinks. We even met a few “Bjorns” and Jonathan took several photos with them and a shot for each one he met. (this was his idea before we left) After Stureplan 1, we headed over to Spy Bar to continue our night. Tom Turk was turned down at the door and not even Urban could smooth talk security to let him in. What a night!

It was now Friday, May 31: morning. We paid another company visit to Einride, a freight technology company designed to make autonomous electric transport seamless. As mentioned in the presentation, Einride’s freight mobility platform brings together all parts of the ecosystem for a fast, reliable, and scalable switch to clean freight. The Einride transformation program consists of five different components: saga, operational partners, charging offer, electric hardware, and autonomous driving. Saga is the mobile app where employees can track and control the car virtually, ensuring safe transport. Through its operational partners, Einride has a global network of partners including drivers and insurance and maintenance coverage that keeps Einride running. Regarding charging, Einride has collaborations with companies that work with them in truck design, installation, and operation. Electric hardware, there is a fleet of electric HOVs with saga inside, which is sourced from the company’s partners. Finally, the autonomous trucks have impressive autonomous features effectively deployed inside ready for use.
We finished off the day with an awaited group karaoke night at Noel’s where we enjoyed Middle Eastern cuisine followed by songs performed by our amazing MBA/MSA students. Justin and Jonathan performed Tequila and Sweet Caroline with Duke which honestly turned out to be pretty successful. Jonathan later joined Saif in performing Fly Me to the Moon by Frank Sinatra. What a great night to finish off our halfway point in Stockholm!
