Farewell in Finland and Bon Voyage !!

Following a productive series of meetings and presentations with key stakeholders including Helsinki Partners, Business Finland, 90 Day Finn, the Maria 01 startup community, and Supercell, our team attended a farewell dinner at Restaurant Saaga. The dinner featured a diverse menu that included Creamy Porcini Mushrooms served in traditional Kuksa cups, Sautéed Reindeer with potato mash, pickled cucumber, and lingonberry jam, complemented by a Blueberry Pie with vanilla sauce and birch meringue.

For dietary accommodations, a vegetarian option resembling a South Indian Dosa was provided, consisting of a crepe-like pancake filled with mushrooms, sautéed vegetables, and goat cheese. The ambience at Saaga was exceptional, with attentive service enhancing the dining experience. The evening concluded with a dessert of pastries and cream, alongside an opportunity to sample homemade schnapps.

The highlight was an awards ceremony conducted by Professors Turk and Myers, adding a memorable touch to our brief yet impactful trip. On June 6th, a smaller group including Nick, Josh, Giancarlo, Saif, and myself enjoyed a farewell dinner at Baskeri and Baso, an esteemed Italian eatery. Each person opted for the €52 special combo, which included two entrées, a choice between risotto or pasta, and a main course of either steak or grilled eggplant for vegetarians. While the total per person was approximately $86, reflecting a premium dining experience, it was comparably priced to similar upscale experiences in cities like Los Angeles or San Francisco. The evening was further enhanced by several bottles of wine, rounding off our engagements in Helsinki.
